There are 2 methods fo getting pregnant for those who want to have babies but have difficulties. This uses a surrogate mother:
1. IVF Surrogacy (Gestational Carrier) – where woman carries a child by the egg and sperm of genetic couple by In-Vitro Fertilisation IVF. Eggs of mother is mixed with Father’s sperms before transferring to surrogate mother’s body
2. Natural Surrogacy – surrogate mum’s egg inseminated with sperm of couple’s male partner, Child becomes genetically related to surrogate and male partner but not the female partner. Success rates higher if surrogate mother has given birth before and insemination is easier and less expensive than IVF.

Having Babies in this era is very different from our forefather times whereby our immigrant forefathers would simply dug in their heels and worked hard even when they were really more helpless and vulnerable than our generation this days. (There were the 20-30yrs ago where young scholars were sent off to study engineering) They would come home to crack their problems in creative ways. They are problem solvers and doers not just helpless carping like us and want to get things done.
Today we are exceedingly more in knowledge and technology; we even thought of using money or have a maid and get everything settled before having a kid, so in a way we are also less. In America, contary to what we thought to be high in divorce and broken families, are in fact a bias view that blows up the picture of family discontinuity as it is a minority incident. On contrary they are highly focused on having family as their bedrock instituition. This is expressed in their values, culture, lifestyle and enviable fertility rate. In China and Asian Countries, family has always come first till these days
Our Singapore PM Lee spoke in The National Day Rally 2008 to “make more babies”. Lets hope we are able to put aside the notion of just building up career first only to realize that age catches up and have later age for marriage. Some hope the future generation would be activists and doers when they grow up.
